This directory has been a valuable tool for claims and litigation managers who seek defense counsel in the various states of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Provinces of Canada since the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys was founded in 1941.
The lawyers who are listed here not only have proven experience and success in the handling of defense litigation, but more importantly, have been recognized as such by their peers in the defense bar. Our Association is unique as we limit our membership to one lawyers per metropolitan area (unless that area's population exceeds 1,000,000). Membership is by invitation only, and those nominated must have demonstrated excellence in practice.
While we understand that many factors go into the choice of counsel, we offer our directory to you as a listing of tested and proven defense advocates. We would respectfully recommend that you check with other sources with which you are comfortable to confirm that the lawyers in our Association are truly exemplary. All members regularly represent insurance companies and self-insureds and are well qualified in the fields of law pertaining to dispute resolution for the insurance industry and for self-insureds. Our members are dedicated to providing legal services of the highest standards.
